Energy Engineer --Energy Efficiency and Retrofit Projects(Lighting, HVAC and Renewable)

Energy Engineer Job Description:American Energy Care, a leading Energy Services Company (ESCO), has an immediate opening for an Energy Engineer.

Job Summary: An energy-related degree or industry experience is required. A minimum of 2-5 years of technical engineering, design, ESCO, and/or consulting experience in energy analysis, performance contracts, or energy efficiency projects is required. Experience with Efficiency improvements or audits of utility infrastructure systems including mechanical system plants, lighting, distribution plants, motors and automated controls.
Additional LEED and or energy modeling experience are a plus. In pursuit of a Professional Engineer (PE) registration and/or CEM is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determine customers’ technical requirements, identify and evaluate energy efficiency cost savings opportunities,

Gather key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, system operating character istics.

Visit project sites to assess and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems.

Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures.

Conduct detailed engineering analysis including baseline profiles, end-use analysis, and retro fit analysis.

Prepare and present technical content, proposals, analysis, and feasibility reports.

Participate in peer review for engineering analyses and project costing.

Provide critical review of proposals and reports through technical narrative editing.

HVAC and Central Plant background;

Experience with energy auditing, and detailed energy reports with guaranteed savings

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts.

Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, clean driving record.

Computer skills (Microsoft Office and project management software. (Excel, Word, Project).
